- ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆Great place to camp. Lakes are close and warm. There was people camped in our reserved site when we arrived. Rangers were pleasant to talk to and were around frequently on patrol carrying firewood. I would come back again.By Kevin Thomas, April 30, 2017
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆We stayed at the Hicks Lake campground which is fine and has not changed in years except for the price which continues to rise with no improvements. What is especially grating is that horrible unpaved road leading to Hicks and Deer Lakes, one would assume after all these years the provincial government would have the resources to pave the road. Our second issue is the sani-dump which was out of order and according to the park ranger the problem is known but the incentive to repair the problem properly is absent, this is indicative of the attitude of the current provincial government, not willing to adequately invest in our provincial parks and campgrounds. Compared to U.S. state parks its embarrassing.By Richard Mond, April 20, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆This was a great camping area, although the daytime park girl is pretty rude, ignorant, pick 1. We were packing had younger generation cook breakfast while adults packed n cleaned, took dogs for a walk, did doggie duties etc, Everything was just finished so we all stopped to eat, Now check in time is 3pm Check out time is 11am ... the campsite was clean, Yet all the girl had to say " check out time is 11am it is now 1120 , i don't see packing you're all eating , " and walks away... No hello how was your stay? No Where are you from? Just rude as F@#$ ! On another note the graveyard shift night guy was alot more nicer, especially with neighbors whom were never at their camp for check in... He was nice when he finally caught up with them at 11pm... Park is dark at night We couldnt see in front of us or see anyone just 5 feet away.. Plus people were chopping own wood, I thought you weren't allowed to do that ?By Denise Charters, August 18, 2016
